The Robtastic Oscars

Photobucket

Would you agree that Rob's appearance at the Oscars went by faster than a vampire running? Nevertheless, it was the best 56 seconds of television. Viewership dropped by 40% when he left the stage. Seriously, the producers really should have just had a scroll on the bottom of the screen with the list of winners while Rob read Midnight Sun to us.

Did you see those bedroom eyes? He positively smoldered. I have no words. I think I might spontaneously combust. Must go find Mr. Meadow...

Seriously, Rob was so obviously nervous, or maybe he just spent too much time at the Academy bar beforehand. BTW, did any of you hear what he even said? I spent my limited time with Rob undressing him in my mind. He wears boxer briefs, in case you were wondering. Well, he WAS wearing them... Gotta run...

I heard something about becoming a vampire... I don't know. I was hypnotized. And can I just say that Rob should've snubbed Seacrest on the red carpet like Brangelina does, after what Seacrest said about Rob's personality. Or maybe that's just because Rob is the BETTER man and won't stoop to his level.

Mmm... I could imagine Rob stooping. Bending, growling, nibbling... Oh, Mr. Meadow just changed into his Old Navy peacoat, gotta go. ;)

I AM NOT HAPPY... I was expecting him to do a longer presentation like the ones before. I watched in great anticipation..............

Ok, I'm going outside (in the snow storm) to calm myself (cigarette) for a few minutes and gather my thoughts. Then I'll come back and comment!

I'm back. WTF was that! It was brief, he was stunning, he needs to go away. This is WHY I didn't want him at the friggin' Oscars!!! He should be in Canada - with piss ant! Hurumph! I feel jilted, like an ex-lover!

Quick, someone tie up Spider and force her to watch the Robalooza slideshow so she can calm down. Or force feed her some of those Twilight Sweethearts. Breathe, Spider, breathe.

@Ginger: Makes no sense that the Sweethearts came out AFTER Valentines Day.

I have no comment as I missed the entire Oscar everything. I'll be back once I find all the vids.

@Ninja Fanpire, I agree with you re: the Sweethearts. I told Mr. Ginger I wanted them for Valentine's Day, but I had to settle for flowers, chocolate and jewelry instead.

I told you I was giving you the first comment tonight!

And I have no words, I can only requote this comment...

because after I imagined Rob reading midnight Sun to us... I stopped being able to form thoughts...

I think I'm going to go back to bed-- until about 2010. Not only can I not buy twilight bandaids, twilight sweethearts or anything else with Rob's face, but my attempt to get ANY of the Oscars? One hour and 45 minutes of red carpet. Rob was interviewed for all of about 20 seconds. He said he was terrified because he had messed up his lines for every rehearsal.
I just found the downside to living over here.

@Jamie: I know you were, but you weren't even second so it was weird.

I watched it, but seriously, they could have done the entire show just showing him and I have a feeling we would all have been very happy! Who cares about seeing the other actors...I just needed the one!(And there would have been a lot more 'spontaneous combustion'!)

That was the best he's ever looked!

You could see him behind Mickey Rourke as well, and he looked like he was trying to hide, as they talked about Mickey Rourke for best actor.

@ Erin - when they were showing Mickey Rourke during the best actor category I said to Mr. Spank, "what a shame that here is his defining moment and no one is looking at him because His Robness is on TV behind him."

Erin said...

@Spank Ransom true!

At least we got a little more Rob time! I could have used much more though

He was perfection last night!
In an interview with MTV- the MTV guy asked about him being a heart throb. Rob-I don't even know how to play up that role(as a heart throb). Whatever! Just do what your doing honey!

All I can say is...the hellish, sleep deprived day I will have today is all worth it. Great job Rob. He looked gorgeous. I am really glad that his manager and agent took such good care of him. And kudos to his manager for scoring him that seat because we got to see that much more of him. I even got really good and spotting him in the overhead, from a distance shots. Thank goodness he is tall(and the hair helped.) I better go and do some work, get paid so that I may fund my Robsession.

OME. He was so - "Edward-y"!!!!!!!!!!! Up on stage, the way he was tilting his head down? He was rockin' the whole vampire vibe!!! I'm so proud of him - and I feel bad that I questioned whether he would shower.

Last night was lovely. He has never looked hotter. The shorter hair is workin for me. I have rewound a lot. It is still on DVR for future obsessing- I mean watching. I agree it would have been just fine if he just red Midnight Sun to us, because without the voice the delusion is not complete. What wonderful imagery to got o bed with – yummy! Granted I dont feel rested.

Perhaps he was seated behind Mickey Rourke deliberately knowing that millions of girls/women were only watching for Rob.(ahhh)

Oh it was a great 56 seconds of television! ~sigh~

My middle daughter missed the whole thing, so I guess I will have to watch it with her again. Darn it all! ;)

@HappyHourSue yes he was looking really edward-y and it was working so in his favor!! he looked nervous yes, but still hot as hell!!..

they really needed far more rob time on there though, it just wasnt enough for me

One of the best parts of his red carpet appearance is all the new pictures on the web this morning. I may need to delete some of my kids pictures to make more room for downloads.

I just have to agree with everything being said! I was really sad that we only got 56 seconds of his Robness on stage. He just looked so uncomfortable up there...however I enjoyed the view! Also, it's true that when they were talking about Mickey Rourke, I just sat there drooling over Rob. I don't remember anything that was said about Mickey. Rob did look good enough to eat...I love my DVR!!!

tynie626 said...

@Rachel i second that emotion.. i was so not paying attention to anything they were saying to Mickey Rourke

that said, i cannot wait for little ashes to come out, i need more rob in my life!!

i wonder how long rob is gonna be in la.. maybe we'll get some more pics

Erin said...

MTV has the interview from last night on the red carpet posted, a little Rob fix is good :)

I have to agree with all above posters on Mickey Rourke. It was quite clever of the Academy to set it up so we couldn't peel our eyes from the screen during that segment. It seemed RP was trying desperately to smolder and angst away in the background. He was probably exhausted in the end :)

He's too hot for words! Yummy.

Ladies, in all my 32 years I have never seen such an electrifying moment in prime time television...and I'm from the 80's God Dammit! I agree with Spank, he should have just read Midnight Sun to us while they announced the awards as rolling credits. Best Screenplay, actor, whatever! Just give us RPattz!
