Can you stay with someone FOREVER?

The question should be can someone stay with me forever. Forever is a LONG time, even when you love someone. I don't know. I think about how Edward talks about eternity in Midnight Sun. Purgatory. I think I might be content to live a long and happy life with the one I love and believe that there is eternity on the other side where Mr. Spank and I can continue the dance. Having said that if Edward wants to come out of the book and inject me with some his hot vampire venom, I am totally willing to give forever a try. ;)

I'd totally be willing to become a vamp to stay with Mr. Ginger forever. Of course then I'd have to attack him with MY hot vampire venom, which I'd gladly do. Hey, maybe I should practice on him tonight. You know, just to make sure I'm prepared.

This strikes me as odd in the book(s). Vampires don't imprint so how do they stay monogomous? Why is there not vampire infidelity discussed. Forever is a long time and I really don't know if I could stand the constant constipated expression on Jaspers face forever? And even Edward, well, nevermind, I don't have any place to go with that one. He, I could do forever with. Especially knowing after BD that sex doesn't get tiresome! Bite me baby - I'm in!

I could stand Jasper's constipated expression if it meant I would spend eternity high on Xanax, I mean, life.

I think it's worth pointing out that Edward and Bella's forever is the best POSSIBLE forever. Edward mourned the loss of aging, but come on, isn't it better to never have to get to the "Of course I'll change your Depends when you can't get up anymore sweetheart!" stage? And is it just me or does "forever" seem to consist pretty much of having amazingly hot sex every night? I could totally get on that bandwagon. Where's my Edward? I want to feel with the intensity of a vampire. *wicked grin*

Vampire Folklore

Stephenie Meyer took most of the vampire folklore from history and threw it out the window. That was pretty ballsy of her to do. If you could add an attribute from vampire folklore to Stephenie's vampires, what would it be? What would you change about them? What do you love about Stephenie's version?

I love that Stephenie's vampires can run and move so fast. I never really got into the "hard and smooth as marble" aspect to SM's vampires. I'd much rather make out with Spike (from Buffy) than with a marble statue. No matter how enticing she tried to make it sound, I just couldn't follow along. I mean, come on... I like it hard, but not THAT hard.

Mmm... Spike... My original VILF. But he doesn't hold a candle to Robward's VILFiness.

I'd have to disagree there, Meadow. I can't really choose between the two. So that means I'll just have to make sure I have enough, uh, love stamina for both of them.

I agree about the word "marble" I think a better word could have been used especially since she used the word marble all the time. How about "rock hard", but if she was tying to say he was smooth like marble, what about smooth silk. Or smooth like a finely sanded piece of wood (did I say wood?) I also could have gone for "cool" instead of "cold."

Cool and silky, but firm all over... hmmm

What I couldn't understand was constant reminder of his "cold, marble lips." If you have lips like stone, you can't pucker. Aside from how this obviously complicates any attempt at passionate snogging, how does he even manage to talk? Perhaps that's why Stephenie Meyer constantly described Edward as always being so damn chagrined.

... and while I'm on vampire pet peeves: VAMPIRES ARE NOT SQUIRRELS! They don't fly or climb trees.

I rather enjoyed the fact that she made them climb trees. Strapped around his waist is the best way to get to the top, of the tree that is.

*snicker* I thought it was impressive, I didn't mind the tree climbing. The "marble" analogy was hardest to believe when Bella waxed rhapsodic about how she could stay in his arms forever... Because I'm pretty sure I'd get tired of laying on top of my kitchen counter even IF it looked like Edward.

You probably wouldn't want to make out with your kitchen counter either.

What Would You Do?

Robert Pattinson's newest movie "Little Ashes" details the life of a young Salvador Dali and his love affair with the young poet Federico Garcia Lorca. This begs a very important question for the Twilight-Headed:

What would you do if you found out Robert Pattinson was gay? (Not that there's anything wrong with that...) Or, WORSE, would you do if Edward Cullen ended up being gay!?

You mean before Perez Hilton dresses up in nothing but a bow and mails himself to Rob? I'm pretty sure the earth would fall off its axis and the world would morph into utter chaos. Or maybe everyone on Team Edward's heads would explode. Kind of like in that movie, "Mars Attacks" where the aliens' heads explode when they play Tom Jones music. Yeah, like that.

I'm betting that's what Tanya thought after the umpteenth time she came on to Edward and he turned her down. I'm impressed he waited for Bella and all but I think if I'd been Edward I would've moved to Alaska by the time the 1960s hit. And if Rob Pattinson was gay I'd have two seperate but equal thoughts:

1. Figures.

2. I could turn him.

First I'd become a vampire (not sure exactly how to accomplish that in real life.) Second, I'd be a tracker so I could follow him around for eternity waiting for him to switch back. Hoping he would.

I'd become a man.
